Architectural Excellence in Bangladesh
The Australian Institute of Architects (AIA) and Bangladeshi Architects in Australia (BAA) is jointly organizing the Tuesday night talk and architectural exhibition titled
Architectural Excellence in Bangladesh 12 August 2008 (exhibition will continue for a week). This talk and exhibition will enhance the relationship between the RAIA and overseas architects who are looking for appropriate employment opportunities as skilled migrants.
The exhibition will present selected architectural works from
Bangladesh by International architects like Louis Kahn, Paul Rudolf, Constantinos A. Doxiadis and Stanley Tigerman. It will also display works by contemporary Architects from
Bangladesh including selected works by Bangladeshi-Australian Architects living in
Australia.

Architects Without Frontiers
AWF is a not-for-profit based in Australia. The focus of the organisation is to assist in the rebuilding of cities and communities that have been devastated by war, social conflict and natural disasters, irrespective of race, religion, creed or political affiliation. The AWF philosophy of design is to work collaboratively with the affected communities. In August of 2005, AWF launched their partnership with the Faculty of the Built Environment, at the University of New South Wales. The new collaboration will provide an organisational and academic base for future AWF projects and activities, which will be a focus for community-based architecture, planning, research and related teaching and engagement projects in Australia and overseas.
